NANOX® 200
NANOX®, prepared by a special patent pending process, is an extremely effective absorber of ultraviolet radiation and can be used to provide a broad spectrum of protection from the harmful UV-A and UV-B rays of the sun. While most traditional sunscreen active ingredients offer protection against the section of the UV spectrum that causes sunburn (UV-B), they fall short of screening out the longer wavelengths of light (UV-A), now believed to be associated with premature ageing of the skin and skin cancers. The particle size of NANOX® 200 zinc oxide, optimized at an average of 60 nanometers, achieves both maximum UV effectiveness and the essential transparency in formulations, creating an ingredient of choice for the next-generation sun protection products.
